Met with representatives of the German federal government communications department to discuss areas of mutual interest, including foreign interference in our democracy. The conversations covered ways in which Canada and Germany might collaborate in communications in particular for the protection of our democratic institutions.
Met with senior and communications staff at Canada’s Embassy to Germany.
Led a round-table meeting with journalists, academics and civil society organizations on media freedom. This event was linked to the Global Media Freedom Conference in London, UK later that week.

Provided support to the Minister of Foreign Affairs during her participation in the Global Media Freedom Conference co-hosted by Canada and the UK. Participated in events and discussions in the Conference, as well as providing overall supervision of Canadian communications support. Met with representatives of various UK government communications teams including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
