To Lead a Canadian delegation involving Saskatchewan Minister of Advanced Education, provincial officials from Ontario, PEI and Alberta, and representatives of the educational, trade union and employment sectors, on a study tour of German and UK skills and trades training systems; To observe German and British approaches to youth employment and apprenticeship strategies; To meet with the leadership of and conduct site visits to Südwestmetall; the Baden-Württemberg Employers' Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry; Stihl; Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, Franz-Jürgens-Berufskolleg; Siemens' Training Centre; The Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry; The College of North West London; The British Airport Authority Academy; To meet with Premier Kraft of North Rhine Westphalia: The State Secretary of the German Ministry of Education and Research; Experts in UK skills training and apprenticeship education, and others; To study the UK experience with social innovation and social finance, and to meet with Sir Richard Cohen, David Hutchison, and other experts in Social Impact Bonds (SIB); To conduct site visits of the St Giles' Trust and other SIB-supported initiatives; To meet with the UK Minister for Civil Society, Nick Hurd, and for other meetings and events
