To lead a Canadian trade delegation to Lebanon; to hold a roundtable with Lebanese & Canadian businesses and the Chamber of Commerce of Beirut; to meet with the Lebanese Canadian Business Association; to attend a meeting between Canadian businesses and Lebanese industrialists; to attend meetings with former President Amine Gemayel; Prime Minister Tammam Salam; former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, leader of the Future Movement; Foreign Minister Gibran Bassil; Minister of Economy and Trade Alain Hakim; Kataeb MP Samy Gemayel; Samir Geagea; leader of the Lebanese Forces; General Jean Kahwaji; Chief of Staff of the Lebanese Army; Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai; Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Ignatius Ephrem II; Shiite Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan; Shiite Sheikh Imam Ali al-Amin; Sunni Mufti Mohamad Rachid Kabbani; Armenian Apostolic Patriarch Aram Keshishian of Cilicia; Armenian Catholic Patriarch Nerses Bedros XIX Tarmouni of Cilicia; Druze leader Walid Jumblat, and others; to lay a wreath on behalf of the Government of Canada at the tombs of assassinated President Bachir Gemayel & MP Pierre Gemayel; to open the newly-renovated section of the Canadian Embassy in Beirut; to meet Canadian trade, consular, immigration & refugee processing staff & officials; to meet Canadian humanitarian & aid workers dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis; to visit a refugee settlement & announce Canadian funding for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon; and to attend other meetings and eventsTo meet with the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, the Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Hranush Hakobyan, the President of the National Assembly, Galust Sahakyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandyan, and others; to attend meetings with Canadian and Armenian business leaders; to meet with Canadian businesses in Armenia; to meet Canadian officials in Yerevan; to lay wreaths on behalf of the Government of Canada at the Armenian Genocide Memorial at Tsitsernakaberd and at the memorial to the Armenian victims of Communist repression; to visit Holy Etchmiadzin, Mother Cathedral of the Armenian Church, & Khor Virap at Mt Ararat; to welcome a visiting group of Canadian youth participating in an international Armenian Scout Jamboree; and for other meetings and events
