Explanation of significant variances compared with previous fiscal year

Total travel:

In 2019-20, FCAC’s travel expenditures were lower compared to the previous fiscal year. The Covid-19 pandemic dramatically reduced travel both domestically and internationally. In addition, the industry sessions scheduled for March 2020 were postponed.

Hospitality:

In 2019-20, FCAC’s hospitality expenditures were lower compared to the previous fiscal year. This is mainly due to the postponement of the Industry sessions that had been scheduled for March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Conference fees:

During fiscal year 2019-20, FCAC’s conference expenditures decreased compared to the previous year. In 2018-19, conference expenditures included the sponsorship of the 2018 ABLE Financial Empowerment Conference which did not occur in 2019-20.
