Travel to Prince Edward Island to join Minister MacAulay in meeting with the Honourable Christian Schmidt, German Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture, to discuss closer ties between Canada and Germany in agricultural research, reflect on cooperation on the international stage as well as the benefits of the the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which will give Canadian farmers, processors and exporters duty-free access to more than half a billion consumers across the European Union, the world’s largest import market for agriculture and agri-food.
