Dinner with key Canadian and American Stakeholders on issues of importance to both Nations. Co-hosted the Canadian Embassy Inauguration celebration event with Ambassador Doer and 1,500 guests. Met with United States Senators and Congressional Representatives as well as US and Canadian Business Stakeholders at the Inauguration celebration. Travel to London, U.K. for meetings with High Commissioner Campbell, Foreign Secretary the Rt. Hon. William Hague and Under Secretary of State Alistair Burt, members of the Iranian Diaspora and CEO of BP, Robert Dudley. Attended a meeting on Religious Freedom hosted by Minister of State the Baroness Warsi. Travel to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting and meetings with Girls Not Brides Advisory Committee Chair Mabel Van Oranje; KPMG Chariman Michael Andrew; UN Undersecretary for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos regarding Mali and Syria; CEO of Israel Corp Amir Elstein; roundtable meeting with 15 Canadian businesses; breakfast with Foreign companies looking to invest in Canada; meeting with Duke of York; Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara; CEO of the Carlyle Group David Rubenstein; Dominic Barton of McKinsey and Company; John Studinski of the Blackstone Group; Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr, MP; Israeli Minister of Defence Ehud Barak, Kevin Rudd, MP and former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Australia; UN Special Envoy and Director of the International Peace Institute Terje Roed Larson; and attended a reception hosted by Canada.
