A serious breach of a code of conduct established under section 5 or 6
Case Description:
The investigation under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act (PSDPA) was to ascertain whether wrongdoing has occurred with respect to contracts for specific services, and to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged wrongdoings. Allegations were related to activities performed by consultants, as well as contract award and management.
Recommendations and Corrective Measures:
The Senior Officer for Disclosure presented recommendations, including undertaking a review of controls in areas where gaps had been found and that further work be done to determine if an administrative investigation should be undertaken. These recommendations have been approved by the Deputy Minister and are in the process of being implemented.
