Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage - Local Arts and Heritage Festivals

The GIST is a women-operated sports media brand, with a community of over 1 million fans who have been underserved by traditional sports media.

Our community spans many channels, including multiple newsletters, job board, contests, games, podcast, social media, e-commerce, membership, and live events. Currently, user data is siloed within the different channels, and our pipeline for storing and analyzing data is almost entirely centered around our newsletters.

The goal of this project is to create a unified profile for our users and data team, and rework the data pipeline to aggregate and report on user activity. This will give us a more detailed and holistic view of who our users are via their behaviors and preferences.

This project aims to purchase and install a cheese washing robot and related equipment, in addition to making improvements to their cheese aging room.

This project will advance the DMU from TRL7 to TRL9. This project will undertake post laboratory trial validation of the minimal viable product and mathematical model through field deployments on operational dredging sites. The firm will also focus on transitioning to more robust and futureproof hardware in order to accommodate modern enterprise ecosystems and contemporary embedded system engineering practices. Additional field trialing will allow for the collection of large amounts of data to use in the development of an edge inference machine learning interface to improve system accuracy.

This project will test hypotheses and experiment with new mechanisms to optimize a repeatable and scalable business process, which may result in new business methods for RCI’s Digital Marketplace.

8 Bit Cortex has leveraged bootstrapping and non-dilutive funding to develop an MVP gamified learning management system (LMS) to enhance engagement and tracking of wellness data. 8 Bit Cortex has validated the market need for an LMS to host addiction recovery programs, enabling automated measurement and reporting of Addiction Recovery Capital consistent with the Alberta Recovery Model for stakeholders, such as government and insurers. Building on partnerships in youth support, employment services, and entrepreneur mental health, the project will integrate engagement metrics and outcome data to train an Agentic AI that recommends personalized recovery pathways, accelerating client healing, and enabling outcome-driven service delivery.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program and the Salish Sea Initiative, is to support the participation of Indigenous peoples in activities relating to the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat, including the development of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ (DFO) policies, program elements and regulations and the development of their technical capacity to support greater involvement in the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat.

Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
