As part of the international consortium project “NPmsDNA2024: Development of in vivo targeted non-viral gene therapies” this project will focus on leveraging Entos’ Fusogenix PLV formulations optimized for delivery of DNA-based genetic medicines to target cell types of the retina to address unmet medical need in rare ophthalmological diseases, including Stargardt Disease. The project will evaluate novel DNA based genetic medicines, encapsulated with Entos’ Fusogenix PLV formulations, for enhanced bioactivity, durable transgene expression and optimal tolerability in small animal models.

PrePad is undertaking a significant infrastructure and AI expansion project to scale its platform for enterprise deployment with major oil and gas clients. This 18-month initiative aims to strengthen backend systems and enable seamless integration with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Additionally, PrePad is developing an AI-powered ingestion pipeline to automate onboarding, which will replace manual data entry and reduce client implementation time. The anticipated outcomes of this project include the creation of jobs in Canada, accelerated export growth, and the solidification of PrePad's position as a leader in digital oilfield optimization.

OCAD U CO offers IRAP clients a ten-week participatory research workshop to learn how to foster empathy with customers, uncover customer needs, and develop impactful value propositions that align with customer motivations and behaviours. Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) will learn how to use emerging tools and to anticipate how AI-driven capabilities will reshape customer expectations and behaviours. These services support IRAP’s mission to provide innovative assistance services to SMEs in Canada.

PulseMedica is advancing its floater treatment system (SVO-Tx), a 3D image-guided femtosecond laser device for the non-invasive treatment of symptomatic vitreous opacities (SVOs or eye floaters). This project will complete preclinical laser safety validation, system performance verification, and assembly finalization, along with certification of two clinic-ready prototypes. It will also support development of clinical protocols and regulatory documentation in preparation for a First-in-Human (FIH) study, to follow beyond this project’s scope.
