The use of automated prognostic imaging biomarkers in clinical practice may enhance (re-) staging and response assessment, as it could inform more personalized treatment selection and patient monitoring, which in turn could lead to improved patient outcomes. The purpose of this project is to develop automated, deep learning-based imaging biomarkers that predict outcomes of breast cancer patients with solid tumors based on various modalities of medical imaging.
By enabling an artificial neural network to “learn” what visual features in thousands of imaging studies are associated with respective patients’ actual future outcomes, the resulting deep learning algorithm will be able to predict survival for a new patient’s imaging study.

Press’nXPress will develop a multi-agent AI engine for real-time analysis of customer experience. This system will benchmark performance across segments, detect gaps in service quality, and identify key drivers of customer satisfaction.

JL13 Concepts is developing a Trust Index, an AI-powered scoring engine that utilizes behavioural, social, and engagement data to assess user trustworthiness. The purpose is to use the trust index for financial purposes by being used to unlock access for underbanked populations excluded by traditional credit systems. The primary challenges are ensuring consistent outputs across diverse users, explainable building models, and minimizing bias, particularly in edge cases. The Trust Index aims to establish a fair and transparent standard for inclusive digital finance.

This project supports the hiring of two recent graduates to expand the company’s development team. The new hires will contribute to advancing the organization’s R&D roadmap by supporting software development, testing, and implementation activities. Their work will enhance internal capacity, accelerate innovation, and help bring new features and improvements to market more efficiently. This initiative supports both talent development and the company’s long-term growth objectives.

This project will develop a frontier laser welding technology to enable the low-cost, high-volume manufacturing of advanced polymer microfluidic devices in Canada, fostering domestic job creation and supply chain resilience.

ChocoSol proposes to hire a recent graduate as a Marketing & E-Commerce Associate. In this role it is critical to implementing a transformative digital strategy in collaboration with TradeTools, a leading Toronto marketing consultancy, and integrating third-party logistics (3PL) with eShipper. The project aims to enhance ChocoSol's online presence, optimize customer journeys, streamline fulfillment processes, and align in-person and digital brand experiences, ultimately contributing to the company's growth and mission.

During the project, Clinisys intends to integrate and test mature Generative AI tools such as scribe via API integration to AI-enable the firm's flagship product – Clinisys EMR. The firm will develop AI scribe specific interfaces that would allow relevant voice data through this interface to be transcribed using AI into text. The intended users will be physicians and clinicians using the system that would allow recording of patient interviews and population of relevant patient encounter fields from within Clinisys EMR interface. This will shorten the time of encounter where currently either the physicians must type the notes or use pre-configured patient encounter templates.

As part of the international consortium project "BioPlasticAccel", the Firm will develop yeast strains and fermentation methods for productino of key industrial chemicals, for use as renewable alternatives to petroleum-based plastics. Sustainable bioplastics may be used for packaging, personal care, and consumer goods.

The project will develop an MVP open B2B platform that will enable small ISPs to offer emerging services beyond basic connectivity. The platform integrates affordable Operational and Billing Support Systems with advanced security and trust infrastructure, allowing independents to deliver a suite of services including healthcare monitoring, elder protection, and smart home services typically reserved for large carriers. The MVP will begin with a demo on how integrated spectrum management, smart gateways, and unified business systems can enable small ISPs to compete through service innovation.

As part of the international consortium project “UK Multisector – BioM - LV Production Kit: Development of GMP lentiviral production kit with optimized upstream and downstream processes” this project will develop an end-to-end and off-the-shelf GMP enabled lentivirus manufacturing kit. The current standard in lentivirus manufacturing is inefficient and delivers low yields, leading to elevated manufacturing costs and less accessible therapeutics. This kit will be the first of its kind, integrating innovative upstream and downstream technologies that have been demonstrated to significantly enhance both upstream manufacturing yields and downstream processing recovery and contributing to the greater accessibility of ex-vivo gene therapy.
