This 10-month project will promote a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. To achieve this, Qikiqtani Inuit Association plans to implement an educational, awareness and engagement governance-based campaign that will focus on women's participation.

John Ambulance’s readiness capacity and deployment capabilities to respond to large-scale emergencies like COVID-19. This will strengthen emergency response across Canada and reduce the impact of emergencies on Canadians.

GermStopSQ is a made-in-Canada disinfectant which is the first to claim efficacy against bacteria and Human Coronavirus 229E for up to 24 hours, and approved for commercial applications.

Populations with acute humanitarian needs, including refugees and migrants, have also been significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

With GAC’s support, the International Planned Parenthood Federation and Profamilia work to improve access to urgent sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and respond to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in crisis-affected communities.

Populations with acute humanitarian needs, including refugees and migrants, have also been significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

With support from GAC, Doctors of the World is helping to improve the health status of crisis-affected people, particularly women and adolescent girls, in Valle del Cauca, Nariño, and the Ipiales – Cali – Pereira migration route.

This funding supports activities aimed at responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, that bolster health care and physical rehabilitation services, and help communities build their resilience to the effects of violence. Project activities include: (1) protecting and assisting people affected by conflict and violence, through providing medical care, income support, and food assistance; (2) ensuring that international humanitarian law is respected in the treatment of civilians not taking part in hostilities, as well as for detainees; and (3) ) increasing technical, financial and material assistance to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak and deliver health services.

The program is in response to the Alberta fires that started during the spring of 2023 that continue to impact communities. The Canadian red Cross Society (CRC) seeks to focus on support and service delivery gaps in the immediate and long term. It is anticipated that individuals and communities will need further assistance to support their evacuation, return to home and emergency recovery. This will be done by supporting community organizations who can assist throughout the immediate and prolonged impact of the crisis by additional supports and services to those impacted. As such the CRC plans to focus its programming on support to the community level.

This federal–provincial/territorial agreement is to support eligible organizations providing existing crisis hotlines responding to gender-based violence (GBV) that are experiencing a rise in demand for service provision due to the COVID-19 pandemic by agreeing on the term of payments for federal funding intended for these eligible organizations.

One example is the time of widespread diseases that causes fever in patients like covid or flu.
