Acorn Biolabs has recently developed a pioneering autologous stem cell-based serum derived from the hair follicle. This innovative, cell-free product is rich in exosomes, growth factors, and proteins that have demonstrated significant potential in promoting skin rejuvenation and hair growth. The goal of this project is to develop a second generation of this product, building on the success of the initial formulation while enhancing its efficacy, scalability, and use for broader applications.

The International Co-Innovation Action Program project: “Co-innovation with Chile for nature-based carbon removal” will identify co-innovation partners in Chile who are interested in the carbon removal market, who want to grow trees and improve farmer livelihoods. Using co-innovation as a mechanism to increase speed to market and reduce unit economic costs, this project will enable Taking Root to enter a new international market to increase and diversify supply of carbon removals.

The Project proposes to leverage
NRCs existing sensor technologies in sensing to address gaps in
water quality monitoring that are: 1) practical for remote
environments (i.e., power and other conditions); 2) cost-effective;
3) easy to deploy; 4) sustainable.

This project advances the Government of Canada commitment to plant an additional two billion new trees over the next 10 years as part of a broader approach to nature-based climate solutions.

This contribution supports the implementation of a community tree planting event that will restore approximately 1 hectare of fallow land within Rouge National Urban Park.

The Project will support pilot testing of AI strategies, determine target architecture and quantitative technical objectives for implementation of an AI solution.

Project activities include: 1) offering scholarships, leadership and life skills trainings to Indigenous youth mentors; 2) preparing e-learning resources accessible for students and providing training to teachers and young mentors to integrate them into learning; and 3) providing gender equality workshops and training to teachers, parents, community leaders and students.

This project aims to empower 65 indigenous youths of 5 Maya Golden Landscape, Belize watershed communities through training and mentorship in watershed monitoring and environmental advocacy. By building their skills and knowledge, the organization aims to ensure equal, gender-inclusive participation and representation of youths who can lead conservation efforts and secure sustainable, nature-based livelihood opportunities for future generations.
